“Science and the arts… are manifestations of the same thing. The arts and sciences are avatars of human creativity.” — Mae Jemison

logo-window-reflection**We’re a work in progress! We encourage you to look through our site and learn more about what we’re working to launch in Memphis – but keep checking back, because details may change.**

Forge will be a uniquely Memphis mashup of art space + fabrication shop where visionaries produce prototypes, artists explore new media, hobbyists complete personal projects and entrepreneurs build solid business models around their products.

We’ll work like a gym with tiered levels of monthly memberships and workshops, but instead of exercise equipment we’ll provide co-working space and tools for creative production: from 3D printing to ceramics, electronics to woodworking.

We even have a gallery – that will double as conference and training room by day – where we can host events and exhibitions, and showcase what arises from interdisplinary innovation and inspired collaboration. All in 12,000 square feet on historic Broad Avenue, Memphis’ burgeoning creativity district.

We’re part of the Maker Movement – the next industrial revolution – and have spent months hammering out our own vision so that we can help you forge yours.

Check out What We Do for additional details on what tools and resources we’ll have available.

“Just as startups are the driver of innovation in the technology world, and the underground is the driver of new culture, so, too, can the energy and creativity of entrepreneurs and individual innovators reinvent manufacturing, and create jobs along the way.” — Chris Anderson
